QC photos: a practical inspection checklist

Quality-control photos help you compare the item received by your agent with the item you ordered. They are visual evidence of that order, not a certification of authenticity or a complete materials test.

Match the order first

Check the product reference, selected color, size label and quantity. Ask the agent which photos belong to which item if several orders have arrived.

Request useful angles

Look at the front, back, sides, closures and any detail that influenced your choice. A close-up can answer a specific question more effectively than another distant photo.

Check measurements against your request

When fit matters, ask for the relevant measurement with a readable scale. Compare it with your own item or the seller’s chart for the exact option.

Record discrepancies clearly

Describe the specific mismatch and keep the original listing, order reference and photo together. Ask the agent about its current seller-return process and any charges before deciding.

Understand the limits of a photo

Lighting changes color appearance. A photograph cannot fully establish material composition, long-term durability, electrical safety or water resistance. Ask for additional source information where those details matter.

Decide before international dispatch

Resolve your questions while the parcel is still with the service. Review the packed dimensions and shipping options as a separate decision.
